Hooty Hoot everyone! Thanks for
visiting my site! Today, “Glenn Tilbrook: One For The Road”
is available worldwide on DVD. It’s taken nearly five years and a
generous helping of testicular fortitude to get to this glorious day
and I can’t quite believe it’s here. I’ve been keeping an extensive
(some say uh… winded) diary of what it’s taken to get to this
point and if you’re just visiting the site after seeing the DVD or
having read about the film in the press, feel free to have a browse
through the diary archives. Entries
include tales of joining Glenn on the road in the US as filmmaker AND
roadie extraordinaire and also stories of joining Glenn in the RV on
his British tour! The diaries include the highs, the lows and the
breakdowns. (Both RV and personal.)
If you’re in the US and you want to
know where to buy the DVD, you can always click on the
amazon.com
list. If you would like to buy the DVD the ‘old fashioned way’,
Image Entertainment, the company distributing the DVD has leading
relationships with major US retailers, including:
Barnes &
Noble, Best
Buy, Blockbuster, Borders, Circuit City, Hollywood Video, Movie
Gallery, Musicland Group, Netflix, Target, Tower Records and Video,
Transworld Music, Virgin Megastore, and Wal-Mart.
If you’re in the UK, Sony/BMG are
putting the film out there. You can go to
google.co.uk, type in
Glenn Tilbrook: One For The Road DVD and several sites selling the
DVD in the UK will pop up. Preferably, you can wait for Glenn’s
extensive solo acoustic tour across the UK and buy it off his merch
stand as he will be generously playing the role of ‘traveling
shopkeeper’ and spreading the glennmovie
DVD love across the land that dentistry forgot. (I kid because I
love.) If you want to buy the DVD the old fashioned way, skip- dare I
say, trot- down to your local
Virgin Megastore!!
Mplant
are releasing the DVD in Japan
www.mplant.com. So I’m sure the DVD can be found at retail outlets
serviced by those swell companies. Canadians can also use the internet
to order their DVD. I’m also told that distribution will be extensive
worldwide so you should be able to saunter down to your local retailer
and get the DVD! Look under Glenn Tilbrook AND look under SQUEEZE.
Thanks for shopping! (If you live in Australia,
Warner Music
are handling the DVD release
www.warnermusic.com.au, However, a specific release date has not
been decided there yet (possibly in April)).
If you’ve seen the DVD of the film,
please
email me and let me know your thoughts! I will TRY and respond to
each email that I receive, but as you can imagine, it might take me a
while, so please be patient. But, we’ve added a few new pages to the
site where I’ll post reviews and people’s
opinions from emails, so your email might be the next one posted!
Also, if you see the DVD mentioned in any
press, please scan it and
email us so we can post it.
I am in London for the release date
(and did you know that
Chris Difford
is playing a gig on Jan. 24th at the
Borderline? You may see me there swaying back and forth with my
lighter, head banging and throwing my underwear on stage!) Since a fab
interview with Chris from 2002 is on the
DVD special features, don’t forget that Chris is touring as well!
Visit our LINKS page and go to
his website
to see his 2006 tour dates!
Thanks so much for all of your
support and encouraging words over the years as they have been a
lovely galvanizing force when hope took a vacation. I can’t wait for
you to see the DVD. I’m bursting my buttons with pride over it. Enjoy
and go see Glenn on his upcoming tour!!!
Keep on rocking in
2006!
Amyx
